WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The No. 3 doubles team of junior
Mohamed Ebeid (Cairo, Egypt/British International School) and first-year
Connor Cornelius (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) notched a tiebreaker win to lead the Lycoming College men's tennis team, which fell to King's College, 8-1, on Friday afternoon, April 26, at Brandon Park.
Ebeid and Cornelius downed Cody Zheng and Jacob Nelson, 8-7 (5). The pair fell behind 4-2 before breaking the King's team to tie the set at 4 and both teams stayed on serve until the tiebreaker, where the Warriors took a 3-0 lead and used another three-point run to lead 6-3 before capping off the win.
The Warriors fell to 3-12 and King's improved to 7-9.
The Warriors wrap up the 2023-24 season with a non-conference match against McDaniel at 12 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at Brandon Park.
