Block reaches career high as Warriors fall to Juniata

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./ Morris Catholic) scored four goals as the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team fell, 22-7, to Juniata College on Wednesday afternoon, April 17, at UPMC Field in Landmark Conference play.

Block notched three goals in the first half and scored her last goal in the fourth quarter with 2:44 remaining, giving her a career-high 57 goals this year.

The Warriors (5-8 overall, 1-5 Landmark) scored four of their seven goals in the first half. Junior Katie Maguire (Garnerville, N.Y./ Albertus Magnus) scored twice and junior Kailey Stocker (Ringwood, N.J./ Lakeland Regional) also scored. Junior Alexa Baldwin (Bel Air, Md./ Harford Tech) led the team with two assists and senior Zoe Stauffer (Lititz, Pa./ Warwick) made 12 saves. Both sophomore Autumn Shahan (Wilmington, Del./Friends School) and senior Rylie Cranmer (Butler, Pa./Butler Area) caused two turnovers.

Juniata (12-2 overall, 5-1 Landmark) scored 12 goals in the first half and was led by Grace Gibbs with eight goals. Caoilinn Heatley had one save.

The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, April 20, as they visit Moravian University in Landmark Conference play at 1 p.m.
