Block reaches 60 goals at Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./ Morris Catholic) became the 15th player in program history to reach 60 goals in a season, notching four as the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team fell to Moravian University, 20-10, on Saturday, April 20, at John Makuvek Field in Landmark Conference action.

Block scored two goals in each half. Junior Katie Maguire (Garnerville, N.Y./ Albertus Magnus), junior Alexa Baldwin (Bel Air, Md./ Harford Tech) and junior Kailey Stocker (Ringwood, N.J./ Lakeland Regional) each added two goals.

The Warriors (5-9 overall, 1-6 Landmark) scored four goals in the first half and six in the second. Block, Maguire, Baldwin and Stocker each had one assist, as Baldwin became the first Warrior to reach 45 assists in a season.

Moravian (8-7 overall, 5-3 Landmark) had 10 goals in the first half and added 10 in the second. The Greyhounds were led by Madi Dippel with six goals. Elle Burd and Kayla Graef six saves.

Block added seven draw controls and Maguire added three ground balls and three draws. Junior Rylie Cranmer (Butler, Pa./Butler Area) had three caused turnovers. Sophomore Autumn Shahan (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Charter) and senior Jess Shaver (Luzerne, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) each had two caused turnovers, with Shaver grabbing four ground balls. Senior Zoe Stauffer (Lititz, Pa./ Warwick) made 10 saves.

The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, April 27 as they host Goucher College at UPMC Field at 12 p.m. in the season finale. The team's six seniors will be honored before the game.
