ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Senior Hiyori Iai (Zushi, Japan/ Yokohama Science Frontier), senior Emily Wolfgang (Allenwood, Pa./ Montgomery Area) and junior Rei Saar (Montoursville, Pa./ Montoursville Area) won matches for the Lycoming College women's tennis team as they visited Elizabethtown College, falling 6-3 in Landmark Conference play on Sunday, April 14.
Wolfgang and Saar partnered for their No.1 doubles match and won, 8-5. Saar also won at No.2 singles, 6-2, 6-1, beating Haley Bishop to tie for the team lead with five singles wins. Iai won her No.4 singles match 0-6, 6-3, 10-8 over Kaylee Mustard.
The Warriors now have a 2-10 record and a 2-5 Landmark Conference record. Elizabethtown advances to 6-7 overall and 1-6 in the Landmark Conference.
On Wednesday, April 17, the Warriors will be back in action as they host the University of Scranton at the Brandon Park Tennis Courts for a 3:30 p.m. Landmark Conference match.
