LANDISVILLE, Pa – Junior Matthew Baldridge (Damascus, Md./ Damascus) won both his double and singles match to help lift the Lycoming College men's tennis team past Lancaster Bible College, 5-4, on Thursday, March 28, at the Hempfield Rec Center.
Baldridge won his singles match against Hemberth Pena, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 4 singles to clinch the fifth point and partnered with sophomore Josh Neidert (Reading, Pa./ Oley Valley) to win their No. 2 doubles match, 8-5.
Senior Luke Leach (Middlebury Center, Pa./ Wellsboro Area) beat Josh Jarvis, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1, senior Connor Albaugh (Montoursville, Pa./ Loyalsock Township) won his singles match against Cameron Tripp, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 3 singles and junior Mohamed Ebeid (Cairo, Egypt/ Egyptian British International School) also won his singles match against Andrew Kelly, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
The Warriors improve to 3-3 and Lancaster Bible falls to 0-8.
The Warriors will be back in action as they host Wilkes University at Brandon Park in Landmark Conference play on Wednesday, April 3, at 3:30 p.m.
