WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior Sarah Lanphear (Chittenango, N.Y./ Chittenango), junior Rei Saar (Montoursville, Pa./ Montoursville Area) and senior Hiyori Iai (Zushi, Japan/ Yokohama Science Frontier) all posted singles wins to lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team, as it hosted Wilkes University, falling 6-3, on Wednesday, March 27 in Landmark Conference play.
Lanphear came back to post a 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 over Kaitlyn O'Neil at No. 4 singles. Saar beat Karlee Yuscavage, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and Iai won her match 6-2, 6-4 over Kensington Edmond at No. 5 singles.
The Warriors are now 0-8 overall and 0-2 in the Landmark and Wilkes University advance 2-6 overall and 2-2 in the Landmark.
The Warriors are back on the court as they visit Lancaster Bible College on Thursday, March 28, at 3:30 p.m.
