LANDISVILLE, Pa. – Junior Rei Saar (Montoursville, Pa./ Montoursville Area) won her double and singles match to help lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team to a 5-4 victory over Lancaster Bible on Thursday, March 8, at Hempfield Rec Center.
Saar won her singles match against Jania Weist, 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3 singles to clinch the win. Junior Sarah Lanphear (Chittenango, N.Y./ Chittenango) partnered with Saar to win their No. 2 doubles match, 8-5.
Senior Hiyori Lai (Zushi, Japan/ Yokohama Science Frontier) beat Sushannah Clawser, 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and the Warriors had wins by default at No. 6 singles and No. 4 doubles.
The Warriors capture their first win of the season advancing to 1-8 overall and Lancaster Bible falls to 2-7.
The Warriors will be back on the court in Allentown, Pa., as they visit Cedar Crest on Monday, April 1, at 4 p.m.
