Box Score HILTON HEAD, SC. – The Lycoming College women's lacrosse team fell, 23-10, to Wheaton College, in a spring break non-conference game on Tuesday, March 12.
Junior Katie Maguire (Garnerville, N.Y./ Albertus Magnus) led the Warriors with six goals and an assist. Sophomore Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./ Morris Catholic) followed with three goals and first-year Amina Abbas-Uddin (Beltsville, Md./ CMIT Academy North) tagged on her first collegiate goal.
Maguire now has 146 goals in her career, four shy of becoming the seventh player in program history to post 150 as a Warrior. With the three goals, Block moved within four points of reaching 100 points in a career.
The Warriors (3-1 overall) totaled six shots and collectively had 10 ground balls. Maguire and senior Rylie Cranmer (Butler, Pa./ Butler Area) each had two.
Senior goalkeeper Zoe Stauffer (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) stopped 12 shots, as she moved into second in the school's career record book with 517 career stops, as she passed Nicole Gerling (2014-17).
The Warriors will be back in action Wednesday, March 20, as they head to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to face King's College in non-conference play at 7 p.m.
