WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -Â The Landmark Conference announced seven Lycoming College student-athletes were selected to its Fall All-Sportsmanship team on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 21.
The Landmark Student-Athlete Advisory Committee created the All-Sportsmanship Team in 2023 to recognize student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. The student-athletes serve as ambassadors for the team — both on and off the field — and lead their teammates toward their goals. The honorees exhibit respect for themselves, their teammates, coaches, opponents, spectators, and the greater campus community.
Each team nominated one individual who embodied these ideals throughout the 2024 season to be a member of the Landmark All-Sportsmanship team. The student-athletes' coaching staff selected the nominee for the honor.
The honorees include the following Warriors:
Men's Cross Country: Kenneth Draper, Jr., Hughesville, Pa. / Hughesville
Draper led the Lycoming College men's cross country team in every race during the 2024 season. At the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet in Lock Haven, Pa., on Saturday, Nov. 16, he finished with a career-best 8K-time of 27:26.6 and a 128th place finish out of 216 athletes.
Women's Cross Country: Gwyneth Fox, So., Altoona, Pa. / Altoona
Fox notched a personal-best time of 27:29.5 on the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Meet 6K course, helping the Lycoming College women's cross country team to a 22nd-place finish out of 30 teams. She finished fifth among the Warrior women at the regional meet and was amongst the team's top five all year.
Field Hockey: Katie Loughran, Jr., Ottsville, Pa. / Pennridge
The junior midfielder played in 16 games, starting 14 of them, this season for the field hockey team. Loughran launched two shots on goal, one against Elizabethtown and another against Drew. She helped the team to a school-record eight wins.
Football: Nick Kline, Sr., Weatogue, Conn. / Simsbury
Kline, a senior wide receiver who played in nine games during the 2024 season, posted 21 receiving yards against Juniata on Saturday, Nov. 2, as the team secured a 45-0 victory. He also had a tackle against Catholic, as he served as the team's long-snapper on both kicks and punts this year.
Men's Soccer: Cole Sharpnack, Jr., Pitman, N.J. / Pitman
The junior defender started eight of the 14 games he competed in during the 2024 season, accumulating two shots and an assist in a 2-0 win over Penn State Behrend. He helped the team post five shutouts.
Women's Soccer: Madison Maihle, Sr., Jersey Shore, Pa. / Jersey Shore Area
The senior defender scored the Warriors' second-half, game-winning goal in the Landmark Conference Championship semifinals against Moravian on Thursday, Nov. 7, lifting the Warriors to their first Landmark Conference Championship final in the program's 31-year program history. Maihle broke a program record for the most games played in a woman soccer player's collegiate career (78).
Volleyball: Brynne Bisel, Sr., Julian, Pa. / Bald Eagle Area
As an outside hitter and defensive specialist, Bisel led the volleyball team with 233 kills, 259 points, and 313 digs. She posted 11 double-doubles during the season, finishing 10th in the Landmark Conference in kills (2.56 per set) and digs (3.51), the only player in the conference in both categories.
