HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Sophomore Jay Huber (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns and sophomore Terrence Oliver (Sharon Hill, Pa./Academy Park) rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns to pace the Lycoming College football team's offense and the defense picked up four interceptions en route to a 45-0 Landmark Conference win at Knox Stadium on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 2.
 
Lycoming (4-4 overall, 2-2 Landmark) rolled up 590 yards of offense and held Juniata to 309 yards thanks to forcing five turnovers. It was the most yards the offense had gained since posting a school-record 640 yards against FDU-Florham in 2019.
 
Huber finished 16-of-19 for 316 yards and two scores. He was intercepted once, but found junior Dawson Debebe (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) on an 80-yard scoring strike and sophomore Ross Eyer (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) added three catches for 75 yards and a score. Senior Billy Coppock (Collingdale, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) also caught three passes for 59 yards. Oliver rushed 24 times for 192 yards and three scores, crossing 190 yards for the second week in a row.
 
First-year Khalil Johnson (Laurel, Md./Atholton) picked off two passes, senior Jeramaiah Cooper (Windsor Mill, Md./Forest Park) and junior Tyler Marshall (Trappe, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) each picked off passes. Marshall led the team with 12 tackles and sophomore Chris Kerns (Telford, Pa./Souderton Area) added 10 tackles, 2.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks. Junior Jordan Rhinehart (Upper Darby, Pa./Father Judge) also recovered a fumble that Johnson forced.
 
The Warriors got started on their opening drive, when Huber found Eyer for a 16-yard catch and two plays later, Huber hit Eyer on a crossing route and he got past the cornerback and scored on a 47-yard reception.
 
After a Juniata drive stalled at the 30, the Warriors went 70 yards on seven plays before Oliver rushed in from 10 yards out. Another Juniata drive stalled at the Lycoming 44 and Oliver struck again, this time from 52 yards. After a Juniata punt, the Warriors struck quick again, with Huber finding Debebe behind his defender for an 80-yard strike to make it 28-0.
 
Lycoming's fifth drive ended with a 45-yard score from Oliver to make it 35-0 with 12:02 left in the second quarter. An interception by Cooper with 1:39 left in the half led to Lycoming's last score of the period, with first-year Kyle Flack (Warminster, Pa./William Tennant) hitting a 21-yard field goal as time expired on the half.
 
Lycoming scored once more in the fourth quarter, driving 75 yards on 12 plays before sophomore Spencer Ferguson (Downingtown, Pa./Coatesville Area) crashed in from a yard out.
 
The Eagles drove into Lycoming's territory on each of its 10 drives, but five of six drives between the first and third quarters ended with turnovers. Three drives ended on downs and two by punt.
 
Calvin German went 17-of-31 for 157 yards and Alex Eaton rushed 16 times for 57 yards to lead the Juniata offense. Sean Hakanson caught six passes for 75 yards.
 
Logan Williams led the Eagles with nine tackles. Cole Claycomb had an interception and Ethan Shank had eight tackles, one for loss and a fumble recovery.
 
The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Nov. 9, with a 12 p.m. Landmark Conference game at Moravian University.
