WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite doubling up University of Scranton in shots, the regionally-ranked Lycoming College men's soccer team dropped a narrow 1-0 Landmark Conference decision on Wednesday night, Oct. 9, at UPMC Field.

The setback is the Warriors' first in its first 12 Landmark Conference regular season games, as Lycoming (7-3-2 overall, 2-1 Landmark) is now 9-1-2 in Landmark play.

Drew Paxson scored the lone goal of the game in the 28
th minute, heading in a free kick from Alex Kozdron for the Royals (5-2-4 overall, 2-0-1 Landmark), who were regionally-ranked in the first four United Soccer Coaches' Region V polls.

The Warriors finished with 14 shots to the Royals' seven and held a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks, while Scranton drew three more fouls in the game.

Jace Bennett (Falling Waters, W.Va./Spring Mills) had three saves for the Warriors.
