WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Senior
Brian Hulsey (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis Area Christian) and first-year
Kayvan Shams (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) won their No. 3 doubles match as well as their singles matches to lead the Lycoming College men's tennis team, as it fell to King's College, 5-2, in non-conference action at Kirby Park on Thursday, Oct. 3.
Hulsey and Shams teamed up to defeat Alex Nole and Gavin Hall, 6-1, at No. 3 doubles, before Hulsey defeated Hall, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 6 singles and Shams defeated Stanley Shimko, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 4 singles.
King's improved to 2-0 and Lycoming fell to 0-4.
The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, Oct. 5, when they host Moravian University in Landmark Conference action at Brandon Park at 1 p.m.
