BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./Morris Catholic) turned away a first-half penalty kick to help the Lycoming College women's soccer team maintain a tie in a 0-0 draw at Moravian University Moravian on Saturday, Oct. 12, at John Makuvek Field.
Block notched four saves against Moravian, as she earned her second shutout of the year and helped the Warriors to their second straight scoreless draw with the Greyhounds (6-2-5 overall, 1-0-3 Landmark Conference). The Greyhounds' goalie Riley Spingler also saved four shots to earn a shutout.
Junior Aubrey Williamson (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) and sophomore Ella Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove Area) led the Warriors with three shots each.
The Warriors (9-2-3 overall, 1-1-2 Landmark Conference) fired 10 shots to the Greyhounds' 14. Both teams took six corner kicks.
Moravian's Hailey Scaff, Carly Pyatt, and Kylie Hughes led the team with three shots each.
The Warriors return to UPMC Field on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m., for Landmark Conference play against Juniata College.
