EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. – The Lycoming College football team scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to highlight a 53-28 setback at Wilkes University to open its Landmark Conference season on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 12, at Schmidt Stadium.

Quasim Benson (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) got loose for an 88-yard kickoff return for a score. After Wilkes (4-2 overall, 2-0 Landmark) turned the ball over on downs, the Warriors embarked on a 13-play, 79-yard drive, with sophomore
Jay Huber (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) finding sophomore
Spencer Ferguson (Downingtown, Pa./Coatesville Area) for a 10-yard score with 3:24 to play.

Terrence Oliver (Sharon Hill, Pa./Academy Park) rushed 13 times for 86 yards and Benson finished with 128 all-purpose yards, rushing for 22, receiving one 18-yard catch and getting 88 yards off his kickoff return. Junior
Karson Kline (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield Area) had six catches for 45 yards to lead the receivers. Huber finished 11-of-23 for 98 yards and a score and Fish was 8-of-17 for 65 yards and two touchdowns.

Tyler Marshall (Trappe, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and senior
Jeramaiah Cooper (Windsor Mill, Md./Forest Park) led the Warriors with six tackles each, with Marshall posting a tackle for loss, Cooper forcing and recovering a fumble and adding a breakup. Junior
Mario Samony (Old Forge, Pa./Old Forge) had two pass breakups.

Wilkes notched two touchdowns and two field goals in the game's first 28 minutes before the Warriors embarked on a six-play, 53-yard drive after a 31-yard kickoff return from Marshall. The drive was capped on a four-yard touchdown reception from Fish to sophomore
Ross Eyer (Muncy, Pa./Muncy). The Colonels, however, scored four touchdowns in a row to lead 50-7 before Lycoming's touchdown drive that sandwiched the third and fourth quarters.

Elijah Jules rushed 25 times for 198 yards and two touchdowns and Xavier Powell was 9-of-18 for 134 yards for the Colonels. Jimmy Johnson caught two passes for 66 yards.

Angel Ramos led the Colonels with eight tackles, two for a loss and a sack. Donell Mackey-Woodson had three interceptions and 145 return yards.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Oct. 19, when they host the Catholic University of America in Landmark Conference action at 12 p.m., at David Person Field.
