WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A pair of goals in the game's first 11 minutes were more than enough in the Lycoming College men's soccer team's debut in Landmark Conference action, as it posted a 2-0 win over Goucher College on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 23.

Senior
Obiazie Chinatu (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) finished off the first goal in the sixth minute, drilling a shot into the right side of the net after sophomore
Christian Woobay (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) won a header from senior
Dylan Sloan (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley), flicking it to the right for a streaking Chinatu, who drilled the one-timer for the Warriors (4-2-3 overall, 1-0 Landmark).

Five minutes later, Woobay again set up the goal, firing a cross for junior
Jaeden Asare (Letterkenny, Ireland/Perry Hall (Md.)), who fired it into the lower corner for his team-leading third goal.

Goucher (5-2-1 overall, 0-1 Landmark) took eight shots in the game, but senior
Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) needed to make three saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season and the 14
th of his career, moving into a tie for fifth in program history with assistant coach
Josh Gildea '16.

Ale Sternini had one save for Goucher and the defense also knocked another shot off the goalline.

Lycoming held a 8-5 advantage in corner kicks.

The Warriors are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 27, when they head to Messiah University for a 7 p.m. non-conference game.
