WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore
Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) tied her career-high for the third straight match, as she notched 15 kills to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team, which topped Mount Aloysius College, 3-2 (25-14, 25-18, 22-25, 20-25, 15-8), in the first Sideline Cancer Cup on Thursday night, Sept. 21, at Lamade Gym.

The match began with a loving tribute from junior
Catherine Milkovich (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson), who lost her father, Steven, to pancreatic cancer three years ago, and both teams warmed up in Sideline Cancer shirts and took a photo together before the match. Money raised from the event will go to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Brynne Bisel (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) posted nine kills, 10 digs, two aces and two blocks, just missing her third straight double-double. Junior
Ava Coombs (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern) added six kills and junior
Arianna Santos (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) added four kills and four blocks. First-year
Alli Macensky (Galeton, Pa./Galeton Area) led the team with five blocks.

Lindsay Heimlich (Bergen, N.Y./Mercy) posted 19 assists, nine digs and three aces, first-year
Haley Balgavy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) added 17 assists and two aces. Junior
Kendall Myers (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) added 12 digs and two aces to move within 19 of 800 digs in her career and junior
Ali Koval (Mansfield, Pa./North Penn-Mansfield) notched 20 digs, crossing the 750-mark with her fifth dig of the night.

The Warriors (9-1 overall) won the first two sets with ease, using 21 kills and a tough defense, but Mount Aloysius (2-9 overall) came back, posting 23 kills in the third set and then a 60 percent sideout percentage in the fourth set. Lycoming won the first four points of the fifth set, though, and never looked back in the 15-8 fifth-set win.

The Mounties were led by 17 kills from Molly Richards and 15 from Mackenzie Barr. Emma Colyer added 25 assists and three aces, Richards finished with 27 digs and Kaylee Smith led the team with two blocks.

The Warriors get back on the court Tuesday, Sept. 26, when they host Carlow in non-conference at 7 p.m.
