ALTOONA, Pa. - First-year
Mikayla Long (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) notched a hat trick to lead the Lycoming College women's soccer team to a 7-0 win over Penn State-Altoona in the first game of the Penn State-Altoona Tournament in the season opener for both teams on Friday afternoon, Sept. 1.
Sophomore
Aubrey Williamson (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) added a goal and three assists to finish with five points and sophomore
Abigail Umhoefer (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) posted a goal and an assist for three points. First-year
Julia Bidelspach (Myerstown, Pa./ELCO) added the team's final two goals. Sophomore
Natalie Bates (Newark, N.Y./Newark) also had two assists for the Warriors (1-0 overall).

Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./Morris Catholic) made three saves in the first half to improve to 5-0 in her career before first-years
Sarah Spring (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) and
Mia Pollack (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) split time in the second half. The Lions (0-1 overall) took just three shots in the game.
Long got the Warriors on the board in the 29
th minute off a give from Williamson before scoring in the 37
th and 66
th minutes. Williamson scored the other goal for the Warriors in the first half, scoring in the 32
nd minute and Umhoefer found the net in the 49
th minute. Bidelspach closed out the scoring with a pair in the 69
th and 84
th minutes.
Adeline Baustert stopped five shots for the Lions.
The Warriors get back on the field, wrapping up their time at the tournament by facing Westminster (Pa.) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2.
