Katie Maguire (Garnerville, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) nailed a shot from the top of the crease that kickstarted a second half comeback for the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team in a 13-10 non-conference victory over Manhattanville College on Good Friday, April 7, at UPMC Field at Keiper Stadium.

Maguire, who is two goals shy of becoming the 16
th player in program history to reach 100 career goals, found the back of the cage four times, picking up a ground ball, and winning a team-high seven draw controls. First-year
Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./Morris Catholic) also notched four goals, an assist, grabbing two ground balls and causing two turnovers. Senior
Tess Arnold (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira), sophomore
Alexa Baldwin (Bel Air, Md./Harford Tech), sophomore
Kailey Stocker (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional), junior
Jess Shaver (Luzerne, Pa./Wyoming Valley West), and junior
Rylie Cranmer (Butler, Pa./Butler Area) all notched a goal each.

Baldwin led the team with two assists and seniors
Madison Wineburg (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) and
Gabriella Haug (Barrington, N.H./Oyster River) led the Warriors (6-4 overall) with three ground balls each.

Baldwin tied the game at one, coming around the goal for the shot. Shaver cleared the ball on a full sprint up the field, splitting the Valiants' defense for a transition goal on a man-up opportunity. The Valiants scored twice more to take a 3-2 lead but Cranmer tied it up to end the quarter with a shot inside the arc.

Maura Kelly of the Valiants posted a hat trick throughout the course of the second quarter, but Maguire scored twice for the Warriors in response, first on a free-position chance and the second was ran in from the top of the Valiants' defensive zone. Block's goal with 34 seconds left brought the Warriors within one, ending the half down, 7-6.

Maguire's shot for the Warriors' seventh goal in the third was followed by a goal from Block at 6:25, gaining the backup on her own shot before running it to the left post from behind the goal on the restart. Arnold, rolling around a Valiants' defender, tied the game up at nine late in the quarter.

Firing a shot low, Maguire gave the Warriors the lead with 13:59 left in the fourth. A minute and a half later, Stocker gave the Warriors a two-goal lead with a hard shot in a scramble at the goal. Block, at the right post, gained possession from Baldwin for a tight goal with 2:09 left before scoring the final goal of the game on a free-position opportunity.

The Valiants (7-3 overall) were led by Maura Kelly with four goals and four draw control wins, and Kerry Carr, who had three goals and three draw controls.

Junior goalkeeper
Zoe Stauffer (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) earned the win, making seven saves on 28 shots. Britney Sirota made 16 saves on 41 shots.

The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, April 12, when they travel to Wilkes University for a 7 p.m. MAC Freedom matchup in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
