WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The top doubles pairing of senior
Nathan Redell (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) and junior
Luke Leach (Middlebury Center, Pa./Wellsboro Area), along with senior
Jason Anderson (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown), cleared their doubles matches and respective singles matches to lead the Lycoming College men's tennis team to a 5-4 win over Arcadia University to open MAC Freedom play on Saturday, April 1, at Brandon Park and the Central PA Tennis Center.

Redell and Leach defeated Francis Tamesis and Lee Conlu, 8-5. Redell took care of Matthew Nagy, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. Leach was forced into a third set after Tamesis won the second set, but finished off the No. 2 win, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.

The Warriors fifth point came courtesy of Anderson at No. 3 singles, as he was also forced into a third set tiebreaker, winning the first set and falling to Conlu in the second, but finished off the match win 7-5, 4-6, 6-1. Along with No. 2 doubles partner, sophomore
Mohammed Ebeid (Cairo, Egypt/Egyptian British International School), Anderson earned the doubles win at the No. 2 slot, beating out Nagy and Brett Schneider, 8-6, by taking the last three games.

The Warriors improved to 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the MAC Freedom. Arcadia falls to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the MAC Freedom.

The Warriors return to the court on Monday, April 3, when they host Penn State Altoona at 6:30 p.m. in Brandon Park.
