WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Avery Eiswerth (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) led the Lycoming College softball team with three hits and a run in a doubleheader at Penn College, as the team fell in two one-run affairs, 1-0 and 3-2, on Tuesday, March 21, at Elm Park.

Senior Morgan Wetzel (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) homered to left field in the third inning of the second game, getting the Warriors on the board after Penn College took a 3-0 lead. Eiswerth singled down the left field line before first-year Hailiee Sobieski (Wharton, N.J./Morris Catholic) was able to send Eiswerth to second. First-year Megan Gorsuch (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) snagged a walk with junior Kylie Segraves (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) stepping up with the bases loaded. Segraves singled up the middle to drive in a run.

Junior Kylie Russell (Cogan Station, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) pitched six innings for the Warriors (6-4 overall), allowing three runs and eight hits, striking out six Wildcats (6-4 overall).

Daub and first-year Claire Alexander (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) all managed hits as well.

Senior pitcher Payton Whary (Coal Township, Pa./Shamokin Area) allowed one run and three hits, pitching six innings.
