WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Posting her second five-goal game of the season, sophomore
Katie Maguire (Garnerville, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) helped lead the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team in a 18-8 setback to Muhlenberg College on Monday, March 20, at UPMC Field.

Maguire picked up two ground balls and won three draw controls to go with her five goals for the Warriors (2-3 overall). Sophomore
Kailey Stocker (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) scored once and picked up a ground ball, junior
Rylie Cranmer (Butler, Pa./Butler Area) notched a goal and caused two turnovers with a draw control, and first-year
Nya Smith (Baltimore, Md./Vermont Academy) scored a goal as well.

Madison Wineburg (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) and junior
Jess Shaver (Luzerne, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) picked up two ground balls a piece. Cranmer and first-year
Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./Morris Catholic) caused two turnovers each. Maguire and senior
Tess Arnold (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira) led the team with three draws.

Going four-for-four in free position attempts, Maguire opened the scoring for the game at 11:47 in the first before the Mules (7-0 overall) scored eight unanswered goals to take control of the game.

At 10:50 in the second, Stocker found the back of the cage as Arnold found her inside the arc for a quick shot. Maguire's second free-position goal was in a man-down spot for the Warriors. Maguire's third free-position opportunity came with 4:48 remaining in the third quarter before Smith, with her own free-position chance, got her shot behind the goalkeeper.

Maguire scored again at 12:50 in the final quarter. Cranmer's goal at 5:13 was assisted by sophomore
Alexa Baldwin (Bel Air, Md./Harford Tech) outside the left goal post, finding Cranmer just on the other side of the crease. Maguire won the draw with two minutes in regulation remaining and eventually was found by Block in the arc for her final goal of the evening.

Samantha Eynon led the Mules with five goals, an assist, a ground ball, and a draw win. Emily Gaffney and Nicole Steiner also scored three goals each.

Sophomore goalkeeper
Zoe Stauffer (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) made 14 saves for the Warriors. In goal for the Mules, Ellison Ervin, Meaghan Haughney, and Madison Figueroa combined for three saves.

The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, March 22, when they host Susquehanna University in non-conference action at 7 p.m. at UPMC Field.
