BUFFALO, N.Y. – Junior
Rylie Cranmer (Butler, Pa./Butler Area) scored her first career hat trick to help lead the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team to an 11-7 victory over Buffalo State on Saturday afternoon, March 18, at Coyer Field.

First-year
Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./Morris Catholic) scored four goals to go with two assists and a ground ball. Sophomore
Katie Maguire (Garnerville, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) notched another four goals, four ground balls, two caused turnovers and three draw controls. Cranmer's three goals accompanied two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and a team-leading four draw control wins.

Madison Wineburg (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) led the team with five ground balls in addition to three caused turnovers that were matched by senior
Tess Arnold (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira).

Buffalo State (2-2 overall) Â got on the board first early in the first quarter thanks to Vanessa Willick, and the Bengals held their one goal lead into the second quarter.

The Bengals struck again in the second but Block's first goal cut the two-goal lead in half on a man-up opportunity after Arnold won the draw. Maguire tied up the game at two as sophomore
Kailey Stocker (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) gave the Warriors a possession. A free position shot by Maguire at 5:32 gave the Warriors their first lead of the game as they entered the half ahead, 3-2.

Block kicked off the second half with a goal at 13:23 as the Warriors kept possession after a saved shot from Stocker. Willick tied the game at four for the Bengals, but Cranmer's first goal of the game returned the lead to the Warriors after a good clear. Block's second goal at 3:55 was the result of a draw win by Cranmer.

In the final 15 minutes, the Warriors posted five goals to run away, as Maguire kicked of the run with a goal on a rebound shot by Block. Cranmer's second goal was another free position shot for the Warriors. Block's third goal came off another successful clear. Cranmer sealed her hat trick after a ground ball pickup by sophomore
Alexa Baldwin (Bel Air, Md./Harford Tech). Maguire found the back of the net with the final goal of the game after winning her own draw.

Vanessa Willick led the Bengals with four goals, two caused turnovers, and five draw controls. Emilee Josker finished with three goals, two ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Junior goalkeeper
Zoe Stauffer (Litiz, Pa./Warwick) made 11 saves on 19 shots for the win. Beth Kulikowski finished with 13 saves.

The Warriors return to Williamsport for their home opener on Monday, March 20, when they host Muhlenberg College at 6 p.m. at UPMC Field.
