WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A career-high 17-point outing from sophomore
Jillian Pumputis (Westminster, Md./Westminster) jumpstarted the Lycoming College women's basketball team over MAC Freedom opponent Delaware Valley University, 61-47, on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 4, at Lamade Gym.

Pumputis drilled four 3-pointers and added six rebounds. Sophomore
Mya Wetzel (Frackville, Pa./North Schuylkill) scored nine points and added two rebounds and three assists. Junior
Emily Lockard (Benton, Pa./Benton) finished with eight points, five rebounds, a block and a steal and sophomore
Meghan Dufner (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) posted seven points, four rebounds, a team-high six assists and five steals.

The Warriors (6-15 overall, 2-10 MAC Freedom) notched 24 points from the paint with another 20 off turnovers and 25 bench points.

Pumputis' nine points in the final 10 minutes helped the Warriors clinch the game, with the Warriors scoring on three possessions in a row, scoring on layups from Lockard, sophomore
Alicia Goldenziel (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) and Pumputis. The Warriors' largest scoring run of the game over the Aggies (9-12 overall, 5-7 MAC Freedom) came with 4:45 that Pumputis started on a free throw and sophomore
Ashley Yoh (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) added another free throw before Pumputis nailed back-to-back trifectas, making it 59-41 with 3:21 left. The Aggies cut that lead to 13, but couldn't get closer.

Yoh gave the Warriors a quick lead, getting on the board first with a layup before Dufner followed, gaining possession on a steal for her own layup. Dufner put the Warriors up by five points later in the quarter, but Yoh gave the Warriors a two-point lead heading into the second quarter.

Pumputis led the team into the half, shooting successfully for three twice as both the Aggies and the Warrior tied the game three times in the quarter. Senior
Kenzie Reed (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) tied it at 15 on an putback and Goldenziel tied it at 17 on a jumper. Lockard's jumper at the five-minute mark gave the Warriors the lead before Wetzel's three pointer pushed the Warriors into halftime leading, 28-21.

The second half saw a flurry of 3-point shots with Wetzel nailing back-to-back treys in the third quarter before first-year
Kami Abdo (Pottsville, Pa./Nativity BVM) hit her own 3-pointer, as Lycoming expanded the lead to eight by the end of the period at 45-37.

Taylor Richardson led the Aggies with 15 points, eight rebounds, an assist and a steal. Haley Keenan scored 11 points and led the team with 10 rebounds.

The Warriors return to the court on Wednesday, Feb. 8, when they head to King's College for a MAC Freedom doubleheader at 8 p.m. in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The men will play prior at 6 p.m.
