Reed, Dufner lead Warriors in season finale

HOBOKEN, N.J. – Senior Kenzie Reed (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) and sophomore Meghan Dufner (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) finished with 10 points each to lead the Lycoming College women's basketball team  as it fell, 74-55, at Stevens Institute of Technology in MAC Freedom play on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Canavan Arena.
 
Reed finished with 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists, finishing her career as a Warrior with 355 points, 320 rebounds, and 95 assists. Dufner scored 10 and notched a rebound and two assists. Junior Emily Lockard (Benton, Pa./Benton Area) put up eight points to go with a team-leading seven rebounds and two assists. Sophomore Alicia Goldenziel (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) also had eight points and five rebounds.
 
The Ducks (21-4 overall, 14-2 MAC Freedom) will enter the MAC Freedom Championship as the No. 2 seed.
 
Sophomore Mya Wetzel (Frackville, Pa./North Schuylkill) led Lycoming in the first half, hitting a 3-pointer in both quarters. Lockard had four points in the first quarter, hitting a layup a minute into play and following it with a fastbreak bucket on the next possession. Dufner hit the first of her 3-point shots with 1:50 remaining in the half, as the Ducks led 37-26 at the break.
 
Reed led the Warriors (7-18 overall, 3-13 MAC Freedom) with four points in the third quarter, hitting a pair of layups. Dufner's second 3-pointer came off a steal by Wetzel.
 
Dufner, Reed, and sophomore Jillian Pumputis (Westminster, Md./Westminster) each had four points in the final 10 minutes of the game.
 
Four Ducks finished in double-digits with Elissa Nsenkyire scoring 17 points to lead the team. Danielle Cornetta scored 13, Lucy Alberici 11, and Amber Porrett 10.
