Pardoe pours in season-high 25 at Drew

MADISON, N.J. – First-year Hayden Pardoe (Mill Hall, Pa./ Central Mountain) had a season-high 25 points to lead the Lycoming College men's basketball team, to go with 12 rebounds, three steals and three blocks at undefeated Drew University, but a fast start to the second half helped Drew to an 85-74 Landmark Conference win on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Baldwin Gym.
Pardoe dominated the first half of the game for the Warriors, posting 17 points and he also assisted with the team coming back from a 25-14 deficit with six minutes left in the first half. Junior Ivan Komitski (Sofia, Bulgaria/ Lee Academy) started the run for the Warriors with a banked-in 3-pointer, which was followed by senior Brendon Blackson (Laurel, Md./Laurel) connecting on a pair of layups. Pardoe also had five points to cap the run and put the Warriors ahead, 26-25.
Blackson and sophomore J.J. Beagle (Williamsport, Pa./ Williamsport Area) had 12 points each. Beagle added eight rebounds and two blocks. Sophomore Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) added seven points and three assists and senior Steven Hamilton (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) added nint points.
The Warriors (4-5 overall, 1-3 Landmark) went into halftime tied at 40 after shooting 47.1 percent from the field.

Drew (9-0 overall, 4-0 Landmark), however, started quickly in the second half, building a double-digit lead in the first six minutes of the half and leading by 14 at 74-60 with seven minutes left.


Josh Kline led five Drew players in double figures with 21 points and James Anderson followed with 14 points. Both Kline and Anderson had seven rebounds, Papie Roberts had four assists and David Musial had three steals.
The Warriors head into a break for final exams and the holidays before getting back to action at the St. Joseph's Holiday Tournament on Dec. 29, when they face the host Blue Jays, who are receiving votes in the latest D3hoops.com poll, at 7 p.m.
