WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – After finishing tied for first in its first go-round in the Landmark Conference, the Lycoming College men's soccer team picked up a host of postseason honors from the conference, as senior
Brayden Wise (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) earned the Defensive Player of the Year award and head coach
Nate Gibboney and assistant coaches
Josh Gildea '17,
Luke Klingler '15 and
J.R. Confair '22 were honored as the Coaching Staff of the Year to highlight a group of six players honored on the all-conference team, the conference office announced on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

In addition to the major awards, Wise and senior goalkeeper
Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) were honored on the conference's first team and sophomore forward
Christian Woobay (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard), senior midfielder
Dylan Sloan (Essex, Md./Archbishop Curley), junior midfielder
Jaeden Asare (Letterkenny, Ireland/Perry Hall (Md.)) and senior defender
Kenny Clapp (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) were second-team honorees.

Wise, who was also the 2022 MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year, again served as the team's beating heart as an outside back. He posted four goals during the season and played a major role in each of the team's 11 shutouts, as opponents averaged less than 10 shots per game against the Warrior backline. Wise is also a two-time all-region defender and a four-time all-conference selection. He is the first two-time player of the year in program history.

Gibboney and his coaching staff earn Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the second time, as Gibboney was also the Co-MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year in 2015. In 11 years as the Warriors' lead charge, he has posted a 128-49-31 (.689) record. He is Lycoming's all-time wins leader in the sport, has won three conference titles and advanced to eight conference championship games.

Wilke earned his first all-conference honors, as he led Division III with 1858:40 minutes played and finished fifth in the country and second in program history with 10 shutouts. He was second in the Landmark Conference with a 0.823 goals-against average and an .817 save percentage.

Woobay earns his first all-conference accolades after he posted four goals and three assists to tie for the team lead in scoring.

Sloan, despite struggling with injuries throughout the year, managed to still start 17 games and earn all-conference honors for the third straight year. He finished with four assists, all coming in conference games, as the midfielder finished his career with 12 helpers.

Asare picked up his first all-conference accolades after posting four goals and two assists from his midfield position.

Clapp earned his second straight second-team all-conference accolades, as he finished his senior year with a goal and eight assists, to finish second in the conference and 33
rd nationally in the category.

The Warriors finished 11-4-6 overall and 7-0-2 in the Landmark Conference under Coach Gibboney, becoming the first program in school history to reach a Landmark Conference Championship game.
