HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior
Steven Hamilton (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) and sophomore
Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) each had nine points to lead the Lycoming College men's basketball team, which fell to Juniata College, 71-41, in the Landmark Conference opener on Wednesday night, Nov. 29, at Memorial Gymnasium.

Hamilton added a team-high seven rebounds to go with two blocks and Valentine posted five rebounds and two steals. Senior
Mavin James (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) added six points, five rebounds and three assists and first-year
Hayden Pardoe (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) added eight points.

The Warriors (3-3 overall, 0-1 Landmark) started the game on an 11-2 run in the game's first 3:37, with Valentine, senior
Brendon Blackson (Laurel, Md./Laurel) and Hamilton all hitting 3-pointers, but Juniata (3-2 overall, 1-0 Landmark) outscored the Warriors, 30-12 in the rest of the half.

In the second half, the Eagles shot 41 percent from the floor while holding the Warriors to 19 percent to extend the halftime lead to 30.

Chase Husted posted 24 points, six rebounds and four assists and Tyler Lapetina added 22 points and seven rebounds to lead the Eagles. Â

The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, Dec. 2, when they host Elizabethtown College in a Landmark Conference doubleheader, with the men tipping at 2 p.m. before the women at 4 p.m.
