Owen Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) lofted a shot at the edge of the penalty area that slipped off the goalkeeper's hands and in the net to give the Lycoming College men's soccer team sole possession of first place in the Landmark Conference with a 2-1 win over Moravian University on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 7, at UPMC Field.

Off a free kick, the Warriors started with space and a ball sent in that was headed over to Magee, who kneed a shot that just got across the goal line, giving Lycoming the lead with 6:30 remaining.

Through nearly half the Landmark Conference season, the Warriors (7-3-3 overall, 4-0 Landmark) lead the league with 12 points, two ahead of Catholic and three ahead of Elizabethtown.
Both Warrior goals were scored in the second half, as

Kenny Clapp (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley).

Moravian (3-4-4 overall, 1-2-1 Landmark) tied the game four minutes later, setting up the dramatic end.

The Greyhounds held a 14-11 advantage in shots, but the Warriors held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) made two saves in the win and Andrew Remias made two in the loss for Moravian.

The Warriors (7-3-3 overall, 4-0 Landmark) next play on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m., against Juniata College in another Landmark Conference game at UPMC Field.
