WILLIAMSPORT, Pa, -Â The Lycoming College women's volleyball team notched a three-set sweep (25-12, 25-22, 25-10) against Goucher College on Saturday, Oct. 28, to wrap up its Landmark Conference schedule in Lamade Gym.
The Warriors honored seniors Megan Starkweather (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) and Catherine Milkovich (Bethesda, Md./ Walter Johnson) in a brief ceremony before the match.
JuniorÂ
Brynne Bisel (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) started the match with eight straight serves for the Warriors (14-9 overall, 2-7 Landmark), as Lycoming had 12 kills and just three errors in the 25-12 first-set win.
In the third set, juniorÂ
Ali Koval (Mansfield, Pa./North Penn-Mansfield) had a run of seven serves in a row to give Lycoming a comfortable lead.
SophomoreÂ
Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) led the Warriors with seven kills and four blocks and Bisel added five kills and 11 digs. Koval notched 25 digs and added five aces and juniorÂ
Kendall Myers (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) had 11 digs. Starkweather, in her first action of the year, posted 14 assists, an ace and a block.
Goucher (3-18 overall, 0-7 Landmark) was led by eight kills from Kailee Turner, eight assists from Nicole Kovach, two aces from Riley Kocell, three blocks from Dakota Hawkins and 15 digs from Athena Savick.
The Warriors will be wrapping up their 2023 season at Lamade Gym on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m., against Houghton University in a non-conference match.
