WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- Sophomore Natalie Bates (Newark, N.Y./Newark) scored in the 25th minute to lead the Lycoming College women's soccer team to a 1-0 non-conference win at Elmira College on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 24.
Bates scored her second career goal off a give from sophomore Aubrey Wiliamson (Lititz, Pa./ Warwick) midway through the first half, giving Williamson her ninth assist of the year, which is third in school history.
The Warriors (5-4-6 overall) had 10 shots, five of them being on goal.
Goalkeepers Mia Pollack (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) and Sarah Spring (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) both appeared in the game for the Warriors, making one save each.
Elmira (3-9-4 overall) had two shots, both being on goal. Goalkeeper Nevaeh Winston had four saves for the Soaring Eagles.
The Warriors will be back on the road for their final Landmark Conference matchup at Elizabethtown College on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 3:30 p.m.
