WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.-Â The Lycoming College women's soccer team fell to Elizabethtown College, 3-0, in Landmark Conference action on Saturday, Oct. 28.
The Warriors (6-5-6 overall, 1-4-4 Landmark) had two shots and one corner kick in the first half. In the second half the Warriors had four more shots, two from first-year Julia Bidelspach (Myerstown, Pa/ ELCO), but Elizabethtown's had 14 shots, including scores from Caleigh Bold, Jenna Hoffman and Elizabeth Rajnik.
Bailey Groff had two assists for Elizabethtown (4-8-3 overall, 3-4-2 Landmark), which clinched the No. 5 slot in next week's Landmark Conference Championship with the win, while the Warriors were knocked out of the last tournament slot, as Susquehanna beat Drew, 2-0, to earn the sixth slot.
Junior Abbey Gerasimoff (Bloomsburg, Pa./ Bloomsburg) made five saves in the contest.
Lycoming finished the season 6-4-6 overall, its fourth straight winning season under seventh-year head coach Kenny Fern, the longest stretch in program history. The team posted six shutouts and scored 29 goals, led by nine goals from first-year Mikayla Long (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) and sophomore Aubrey Williamson (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) had three goals and nine assists.
