SHAWNEE-ON-DELAWARE, Pa. – First-year Will Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) fired a 7-over-par 79 on the first day of the two-day Landmark Conference Preview at the 6,725-yard, par-72 Shawnee Golf Course on Saturday morning, Oct. 21.
 
Eberz turned in a two-birdie round, one on the par-5, 522-yard No. 6, and one on the par-5, 520-yard No. 12, to highlight his round. He had three pars and finished 6-over on the front nine before turning in seven pars and finishing 1-over on the back nine.
 
He is tied for 21^st in the 46-man field, while Drew's Elliot Parker is 2-under and his teammate, Shiv Bhaskar, is 1-under heading into the second round on Sunday at 9 a.m.
 
First-year Mikey Fry (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) posted a 10-over-par 82 in his first round of the tournament, posting six pars and seven bogeys. He also notched a pair of birdies, getting one on No. 12 with Eberz and one on the par-3, 168-yard No. 17.
 
The tournament, which is led by Drew by 10 strokes (291), will conclude with the second round at Shawnee Golf Course set to start at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22.
