GLENSIDE, Pa. – Sophomores
Alicia Goldenziel (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) and
Ashley Yoh (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) finished in double figures with 10 points each to lead the Lycoming College women's basketball team, which fell to Arcadia University, 63-54, on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Alumni Gymnasium.

Goldenziel posted a season-high 10 points, four rebounds, and an assist in her third game with the Warriors after transferring to the school. Yoh finished with 10 points, six rebounds, and an assist. Junior
Emily Lockard (Benton, Pa./Benton) led the team with nine rebounds and eight points. Sophomore
Meghan Dufner (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) notched seven points, five rebounds, and two steals.

The Warriors (5-13 overall, 1-8 MAC Freedom) scored 22 points from the paint with another 10 on turnovers.

The Knights (12-6 overall, 5-4 MAC Freedom) opened the game with 11 straight before Goldenziel put the Warriors on the board at the 4:32 mark of the first quarter with jumper. A rebound by senior
Kenzie Reed (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) led to a 3-pointer from sophomore
Jillian Pumputis (Westminster, Md./Westminster). Goldenziel ended the quarter with another jumper.

Lockard led the team through the second quarter with five points and Goldenziel was close behind with four, but a three-pointer from the Knights' Dayna Balasa ended the half with the Knights ahead 31-18.

Reed notched six points in the third quarter beginning with a layup, followed by two free throws and another layup in the Warriors' next possession.

Mya Wetzel (Frackville, Pa./North Schuylkill) opened the final 10 minutes of regulation. Yoh added four points from the free-throw line, her fourth cutting the deficit to just three points. Six Warriors scored in the quarter, putting up 20 points but the Knights were able to hold the Warriors off.

Hanna Rhoades led the Knights with 15 points and two rebounds. Scarlett Glasser-Nehls finished with 13 points and two steals and Delaney Bell added 14 rebounds and 12 points.

The Warriors return home to Dutch Burch Court on Wednesday, Jan. 25, when they host Wilkes University in a MAC Freedom doubleheader at 8 p.m. in Lamade Gym. The men will play prior to the women at 6 p.m.
