WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior
Ian Plankenhorn (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) drilled three field goals, all in the second quarter, for the Lycoming College football team, but Susquehanna University, which is receiving votes in the D3Football.com preseason poll, scored on its first three drives of the game to help it post a 45-16 win in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Hat Trophy game at David Person Field on Saturday, Sept. 3.

Â
A Susquehanna muffed snap on a punt set up the next Plankenhorn field in the middle of the quarter, as he connected from 24 yards. After Susquehanna scored, the Warriors responded with a six-play, 63-yard drive, with a 33-yard reception from junior
Brandon Timothy (Woodland Park, N.J./Passaic Valley) setting up Plankenhorn's 34-yard field goal.
Â
Susquehanna led 35-9 at halftime and scored a field goal to start the third quarter before a 35-yard punt return from senior
Austin Rowley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) kicked off a 24-yard drive that Shemory capped when he plowed in off a draw to make it 38-16. Susquehanna added the final score, though, in the fourth quarter.
