Warriors fall at Widener

CRESSON, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's soccer team fell to Widener University, 2-0, in non-conference action on Saturday, Sept. 24.
 
Senior Bella Green (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) had five shots and first-year Abigail Umhoefer (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) added three for the Warriors (5-2-2 overall).
 
Emily Schall and Madison Blackshire led the Pride scored for the Pride, with Schall scoring the game-winner in the 38th minute.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Abbey Gerasmioff (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) made two saves in 77 minutes and first-year Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./Morris Catholic) made one. Samantha Coon made seven saves for the Pride (3-3-2 overall), who were outshot, 12-10.
 
The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, Sept. 28, when they travel to Alfred State for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
