th career shutout, while a defensive score and a special teams one were more than enough, but the offense also put forth 31 points in a 45-0 Middle Atlantic Conference shutout on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Shirk Stadium.

The Warriors (2-1 overall, 1-0 MAC) racked up 310 total yards, with 212 of them coming on 49 rushes, as the team found the endzone three times on the ground and once through the air.

Elijah Shemory (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) was 8-of-17 for 101 yards and a score passing and he rushed eight times for 27 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore

Michael VanHorn (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) ran 10 times for 51 yards and a score, as the pair led five Warriors with at least 25 yards.

Billy Coppock (Collingdale, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) had two catches for 25 yards and a touchdown.

Joey Rivituso (Easton, Pa./Notre Dame-Green Pond) had two fumble recoveries, scooping up one for a touchdown and an interception.

The Warriors opened the scoring four minutes into the game on their opening drive, as junior
Ian Plankenhorn (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) canned a 34-yard field goal. Late in the quarter, Rivituso picked off a pass at the Lycoming 38 and 11 plays later, Shemory capped the drive by diving in from two yards out, capping the drive highlighted by a 32-yard reception by Williams.

In the second quarter, the Warriors forced a 3-and-out inside the Lions 10 and got the ball back at their own 47 after a punt. Seven plays later, Shemory dove in from a yard out to make it 17-0 at the break.

The Warriors extended their opening third quarter drive when Rivituso picked up a fumble off a muffed punt at the 25-yard line. Three plays later, Shemory found Coppock in the end zone to make it 24-0. After another 3-and-out, the Warriors benefitted from a short field off a punt, scoring in six plays, with VanHorn charging in from a yard out. On the last play of the third quarter, junior
Adam McCafferty (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area) forced a fumble that Rivituso picked up and dashed 28 yards for a score.

Gary DeGroat (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) blocked a punt and returned it 29 yards to make it 45-0.

Jarren Rutter led the Lions with four rushes for 55 yards and Isaiah Shockley added 17 carries for 54 yards. Lion quarterbacks finished 4-of-15 passing for 29 yards and two interceptions. Sam Viera led the Lions with 16 tackles and Daniel Vital added 12.

The Warriors head back to Williamsport and will get set to host King's College in another MAC matchup on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m., at David Person Field.
