Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Warriors draw at Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. – Junior Reuben Devaney (Nottingham, Md./Concordia Prep) scored a second-half goal for the Lycoming College men's soccer team, but a 90th-minute goal helped Ithaca College escape with a 1-1 draw in non-conference action on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Higgins Stadium.

Devaney's opening goal for the Warriors (3-1-4 overall) came at the 66-minute mark after both teams held the other scoreless in the first half. Devaney's scoring shot came off a rebound after sophomore Jahci Knick (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) fired a shot from the top of the box that ricocheted to Devaney just in front of the left goal post.

The Warriors held the 1-0 lead until Bombers' Jackson Fox scored with six seconds left, as he got a clear look from 12 yards out.

Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) totaled one save. Ithaca's Ian Whitfield made six saves on the night.

Ithaca is now 1-4-2 overall.

The Warriors return to the field on Saturday, Sept. 24, when they host Mount Aloysius College at 4 p.m. at UPMC Field.
