Tess Arnold (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira) passed over the top to first-year
Erin Henn (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sayville), who turned and fired into the right side of the net to give the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team a 9-8 overtime win against Juniata College in non-conference action at UPMC Field on Wednesday afternoon, April 27.

The golden goal came 52 seconds into the second half of the first overtime, as Lycoming (9-7 overall) won its third straight overtime game and its first since a 14-13 win at Hood in 2019.

Lycoming tied the game with the lone score in the fourth quarter, as Henn found senior
Emma Lehr (Danville, Pa./Danville Area), who fired a shot past the Juniata keeper with 3:56 left.

Neither team was able to score in the final moments, as sophomore
Zoe Stauffer (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) stopped seven shots in the fourth quarter for the Warriors, including one stop in the final 15 seconds of regulation.

Lycoming held possession for much of the first three minutes of overtime, taking four shots and grabbing three groundballs, but it was unable to dent the twine. After the restart, first-year
Katie Maguire (Garnerville, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) grabbed the draw control and was fouled hard, leading to a yellow card. That led to the game-winning goal 20 seconds later as Lycoming settled into its offense and Arnold found Henn to set off the celebration.

Stauffer stopped 18 shots in the game, as she became the fifth goalkeeper in program history to stop 200 shots in a season, finishing the game with 201 this year, just 26 stops from the school record of 227 set by Laurie Rooney in 2003.

Maguire finished with two goals, an assist, five draw controls, three caused turnovers and five ground balls, as she became the fourth Warrior rookie to score 50 goals in a season, joining Kelly McGinniss (2016, 66), Sarah Wingerden (59, 2006) and Megan McIntyre (50, 2007), finishing the game with 51 goals, 18
th in program history.

Lehr finished with three goals and senior
Erika Boyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) posted a goal and three assists to give her 94 career points. Henn posted a goal and two assists. Arnold had a goal, an assists, four groundballs, four caused turnovers and three draw controls.

Neither team had more than a three-goal lead in the game, which the Warriors had when they scored the first three goals of the game, with first-year
Kailey Stocker (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) scoring with 4:28 left in the first quarter. The Eagles finished the first half on a 6-1 run to take a 6-4 lead at the break.

The Warriors responded in the third quarter with three straight goals, as Boyer scored on a transition give from Maguire with 6:50 left to make it 7-6. Juniata scored twice in in the final two minutes of the quarter, though, to lead 8-7, heading into the final period.

Peyton Goodrich led the Eagles (11-5 overall) with three goals, an assist, four draw controls and six groundballs and Shayla Lapp added two goals. Chloe Gerhard stopped 11 shots in net.

The Warriors get back on the field for the regular-season finale on Saturday, April 30, when they host Stevens at 1 p.m. in a MAC Freedom matchup.
