DALLAS, Pa. – Senior Michael Turck (Homer, N.Y./Homer) posted a 21-over-par 93 to lead the Lycoming College golf team in the opening round of the two-day MAC Freedom Championship at the par-72, 6,500-yard Huntsville Golf Club on Saturday, April 23.
 
Turck finished the first round tied for 36^th in the 45-player field, as Lycoming finished with a first day 393. Stevens leads the field by 15 strokes over Arcadia after finishing 12-over-par at 300.
 
Junior Blake Premo (Massena, N.Y./Massena0 shot a 96, senior Jon Marble (Honeoye, N.Y./Honeoye) posted a 101, sophomore Ian Plankenhorn (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) notched a 103 and junior Michael Coe (Pittston, Pa./Pittston Area) finished with a 105.
 
Eegan McDermott of Stevens is the individual leader after an opening-round 70, while Misericordia's Ethan Zawalski is second with 74.
 
The Warriors will wrap up the MAC Freedom Championship on Sunday, April 24, at 11 a.m. when they tee off with the second round of the tournament.
