ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore
Zoe Stauffer (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) posted 22 saves, the most for a Lycoming goalkeeper in 13 years, to lead the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team, which fell to Muhlenberg College, 21-8, on Wednesday afternoon, March 2, at Scotty Wood Stadium.

Stauffer notched 17 saves in the first half, allowing 12 goals, as her 22 saves are tied for ninth in school history and the most for a Warrior keeper since Brittany Bryan posted 27 stops at FDU-Florham on March 14, 2009.

Maguire led the Warriors (0-2 overall) in scoring with four goals, as four players posted multiple points – with senior
Ericka Boyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) notching three assists, first-year
Kailey Stocker (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) posting two goals and junior
Tess Arnold (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira) notched two assists.

Muhlenberg (2-0 overall) opened the game with five goals before Boyer found Maguire for Lycoming's first goal midway through the first quarter. Muhlenberg led 8-2 early in the second before Maguire scored twice during a 4-2 run that moved the Warriors within four at 10-6 after a goal from senior
Emma Lehr (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) made it 10-6 with 6:44 left in the first half.

Muhlenberg scored nine of the 11 goals in the second half, with sophomore
Rylie Cranmer (Butler, Pa./Butler) and Stocker scoring for the Warriors.

Ariella Lerner led the Mules with five goals and six ground balls, Madeline Dill added four and Elisa Peabody notched three assists and a goal. Ellison Ervin posted two saves in 56 minutes to earn the win.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, March 5, when they host Mount Aloysius at 11 a.m. at UPMC Field.
