Ashley Yoh (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) and sophomore
Emily Lockard (Benton, Pa./Benton Area) led the No. 7-seed Lycoming College women's basketball team with nine points each, but No. 2-seed Stevens Institute of Technology advanced with a 59-37 win on Wednesday evening, Feb. 23, in a MAC Freedom Championship quarterfinal at Canavan Arena.

No. 2 Stevens will move on to the semifinals to face the winner of No. 6 Arcadia at No. 3 King's in the semifinals of the MAC Freedom Championship on Friday, Feb. 25.

Meghan Dufner (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) ended the game with a team-best seven rebounds and eight points.

The Ducks scored the first six points before a jumper by Yoh put the Warriors on the board. Lockard followed up with two layups, but the Ducks led 14-7 at the end of the first quarter. The Ducks scored eight to start the second quarter before Yoh and Dufner hit four free throws, as Stevens took a 27-11 lead into the break.

Junior
Kenzie Reed (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) hit two shots from the field to start off the second half and sophomore
Allison Butler (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove Area) notched a fastbreak layup and hit another layup two minutes later. Dufner nailed three layups in a row off two Duck turnovers and sophomore
Cathryn Brought (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) ended the quarter with a 3-pointer, as Lycoming outscored the Ducks by two in the third quarter.

Yoh scored on two more layup attempts and Lockard notched four free throws in the final period. Another free throw attempt by Dufner ended the scoring, as the Ducks scored  16 points in the final period to expand their lead to 22 by the end of regulation.

Elliot led the Ducks with 16 points and three rebounds and Jess Broad had 11 points and five assists.

The Warriors finished the 2021-22 season 6-19 overall.
