Allison Butler (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove Area) led the Lycoming College women's basketball in MAC Freedom action against Misericordia University, but Misericordia used fourth-quarter push to hold on for a 57-45 win on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Lamade Gym.

Butler finished with 10 points, two assists, five rebounds, and a steal to lead the Warriors (6-17 overall, 6-9 MAC Freedom). Senior
Allison Wagner (York, Pa./Central York) ended the game with a point, two assists and three rebounds in her third game back from injury, as the team celebrated her contributions on Senior Night. Behind Butler, first-years
Ashley Yoh (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) finished the night with nine points and five rebounds and
Mya Wetzel (Frackville, Pa./North Schuylkill) had nine points, four steals, and six rebounds. Junior
Emily Zoscin (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly Area) also had six rebounds and five points.

Two points from Yoh opened the scoring between both teams, as the Cougars (14-10 overall, 9-5 MAC Freedom) posted 13 in the first quarter to take a two-point lead at the end of the period. Sophomore
Emily Lockard (Benton, Pa./Benton Area) drove through a tough defense for two layups with Butler also adding two jumpers.

The Cougars held the Warriors to eight points in the second quarter, as Butler landed another layup and first-year
Francine Bacon (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Township) added a free throw. Wetzel ended the half by netting a 3-pointer with 35 seconds left to make it 27-19 at the break.

The Warriors started the second half strong with their best scoring run of the game, coming within three points of the Cougars thanks to an opening layup from Yoh and another a minute later from Butler. Zoscin and Wagner put in a layup and a free throw. Wetzel scored another 3-pointer as first-year
Meghan Dufner (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) ended the quarter with four points, scoring a layup and adding  two free throws, helping the team enter the fourth down just four at 42-38.

Morgan Haefele went 2-for-2 in 3-point shots in the final 10 minutes to help separate the Cougars from the Warriors, who opened the quarter on a 15-5 run to lead 57-43 with 4:25 left.

Gianna Delfino led the Cougars with 16 points, three assists, and six rebounds and Bondi added 13 points, five assists, and two rebounds.

The Warriors finish out the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 19, as they travel to DeSales University for a 1 p.m. MAC Freedom matchup in Center Valley, Pa.
