WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior
DeAundre Manuel (Brooklyn, N.Y./KIPP NYC Prep) posted 21 points, 11 rebounds and two steals to lead the Lycoming College men's basketball team, which outrebounded Arcadia University by 10, scored 12 more points off turnover and 22 more in the paint, helping it to a 69-56 MAC Freedom win at Lamade Gym on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 3.

Sophomore
Steven Hamilton (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) posted 17 points and four assists and senior
Mo Terry (Severn, Md./Severn School) added 11 points, five assists and five steals. Junior
Mavin James (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) pulled down nine rebounds and added two assists and first-year
Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) added eight points, two assists and a block. Senior
Dyson Harward (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) also added seven points, five rebounds and two blocks, moving within three points of 900 in his career.

The Warriors (4-4 overall, 1-1 MAC Freedom) shot 39.2 percent from the field (29-for-74), but thanks to 22 offensive rebounds and forcing the Knights (3-4 overall, 0-2 MAC Freedom) into 17 turnovers, they took 20 more shots than the opponents who shot 37 percent (20-for-54) from the floor.

The Knights cut into an 11-point Warrior halftime lead through the first six minutes of the second half, getting the lead to four after a 3-pointer from Josh Parks. Manuel hit a driving layup in response before Terry got inside to hit a layup, then added another one with 11:58 left to get the lead back to 11. The Knights closed within six with 11 minutes to play, but the Warriors took over the game with a 15-5 run in the next eight and a half minutes, taking a 61-45 lead with 2:37 left. The Knights were unable to get closer than 13 from there.

The Warriors got out to a running start, with a pair of layups from Manuel giving the team a 7-2 lead before Arcadia used three straight buckets to get the lead by a point with 12:57 left. Lycoming controlled the rest of the half, though, outscoring Arcadia, 23-11, with sophomore
Brendon Blackson (Laurel, Md./Laurel) hitting the final points off the half on a trifecta to make it 31-19 at the break.

Justin Money posted 14 points and seven rebounds, Dom Vazquez added 12 points and Jalen Watkins posted 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the Knights.

The Warriors are back in action on Sunday, Dec. 4, when they host Marywood University at 5 p.m. in Lamade Gym in non-conference action.
