Joey Francis (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) and sophomore
Owen Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) snagged a goal a piece to lead the Lycoming College men's soccer team over Arcadia University, 2-1, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Lenox Field, as Lycoming moved into first place alone in the MAC Freedom with nine points.

Magee's fourth goal of the season put the Warriors (7-2-4 overall, 3-0 MAC Freedom) on the board first just under five minutes into the game on a play set up by first-year
Keller Chamovitz (Sewickly, Pa./Quaker Valley). Chamovitz delivered pass from outside the box to Magee, who was waiting in the center of the goal box.

Francis' goal, a header shot inside the left goal post, put the Warriors up two after junior
Austin Craig (Freeland, Md./Hereford) took a corner kick in the 38
th minute.

The Knights (6-4-2 overall, 0-2 MAC Freedom) cut the Warriors' lead in half in the 57
th minute on an unassisted goal by Matt Brook, but took just one off-target shot the rest of the way.

Junior goalkeeper
Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) finished the afternoon with two saves. Jake Varrato finished with four saves for the Knights.

The Warriors return to the field on Tuesday, Oct. 11, when they face Misericordia University in MAC Freedom action at 7 p.m. in Dallas, Pa.
