Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) posted 14 kills and four blocks and sophomore
Brynne Bisel (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) posted 11 kills and 10 digs for her second straight double-double to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team, which fell to Wilkes University, 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-14, 15-11), in MAC Freedom action at the Marts Center on Wednesday night, Oct. 5.

Wilkes (5-14 overall, 1-4 MAC Freedom) hit .208 in the match, notching 57 kills, including hitting .411 in the final two sets to come-from-behind for the win.

Elizabeth Kelson (Denville, N.J./Morris Catholic) and sophomore
Arianna Santos (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) each posted seven kills and six blocks, with Santos also adding three aces. Sophomore
Kendall Myers (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) notched 21 digs and three aces and sophomore
Ellie Norton (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) added 10 digs. Sophomore
Marykatelin Button (Avon, N.Y./Avon) posted 38 assists and 10 digs.

In the first set, the Warriors (11-7 overall, 2-3 MAC Freedom) broke open a tie at 11 with a 7-1 run capped by a kill from sophomore
Jessica Ahart (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area) and the Colonels couldn't get closer than two, at 24-22, the rest of the way.

In the second set, the Warriors led 22-21 before a pair of kills from Nicole Fitzpatrick and an ace helped the Colonels edge out a 25-22 win.

Lycoming came back in the third set, running out to a 15-10 lead after an ace by Bisel. Wilkes came back to tie it at 18, but the Warriors won the next four points off Santos' serve to take control in the 25-21 win.

The Colonels hot-hitting in the last two sets helped them lead for all but four points the rest of the match.

Nicole Fitzpatrick led the Colonels with 25 kills and 11 digs and Alexis Reedy added 12 kills and 11 digs. Alexa Cassel had 40 assists and 10 digs, Sierra Hines posted eight kills and six blocks and Ali Yordy finished with 23 digs.

The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, Oct. 8, when they host a tri-match at Lamade Gym, facing Lebanon Valley at 11 a.m. and Catholic at 3 p.m.
