Warriors draw at Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Down by a goal late in the second half, sophomore Jahci Knick (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) got his head on the game-tying goal to help Region IV's sixth-ranked team, the Lycoming College men's soccer team, draw with Region V's fifth-ranked, Gettysburg College, 1-1, on Tuesday night, Oct. 25, at Clark Field.
 
Knick tied the game in the 75th minute, as junior Dylan Sloan (Essex, Md./Archbishop Curley) set up the play with a free kick, connecting with Knick for a header directly in front of the Bullets' goal.
 
Jack Carroll struck first for the Bullets (9-3-4 overall) at 57:26, assisted by Athi Msiza.
 
Junior goalkeeper Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) finished the night with one save for the Warriors (9-4-5 overall, 5-2 MAC Freedom). Kevin Muhic finished with four saves for Gettysburg, three coming in the second half.
 
Lycoming held a 15-9 advantage in shots and an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
 
The Warriors wrap up the regular season on the road on Friday, Oct. 28, against FDU-Florham for a 7 p.m. MAC Freedom kickoff in Madison, N.J., in a key matchup that will determine conference championship seeding.
