WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – One of the toughest schedules in Division III has helped earn the Lycoming College men's soccer team a spot in the initial NCAA Division III Region IV rankings, announced by the NCAA on their website this week.

The Warriors shut out MAC Freedom opponent King's College, 2-0, on Wednesday night, Oct. 19, to improve to 8-4-4 and 4-2 in the conference to sit tied for second in the conference with 12 points entering the last 10 days of the regular season.

With two conference games remaining in the season, the Warriors need two points to clinch a spot in the MAC Freedom Championships, as they host DeSales University on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 3 p.m.

The Warriors are joined in the Region IV rankings by MAC Freedom members Stevens (12-0-2) and Misericordia (9-2-4) along with Lancaster Bible (10-3-3), Montclair St. (12-1-3), NYU (6-4-2), and Rowan (7-5-4). The Warriors tied Lancaster Bible in a 3-3 draw on Sept. 14, and fell to Rowan, 1-0, on Sept. 11. The Warriors also notched a draw with Johns Hopkins, 1-1, on Sept. 4, and fell to Messiah, 5-0, on Sept. 28, as both teams are ranked in Region V.

Owen Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) is fifth with three game-winning goals. Chamovitz and Magee lead the Warriors with four goals each.
