WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three goals in less than 10 minutes in the second half helped the Lycoming College men's soccer team to a 5-0 Homecoming shutout of Delaware Valley University to open MAC Freedom competition on Saturday, Oct. 1, at newly-dedicated UPMC Field at Keiper Stadium.

Owen Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) opening the scoring for the Warriors just three minutes in on a shot from inside the left goal post off a pass from junior

Jahci Knick (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) put the Warriors up by two, catching the ball at the top of the box from senior

Pius Atubire (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) gave the Warriors a 3-0 lead at 62:10, getting inside the right goal post off a header bounce from junior
Christian Barnes (Baltimore, Md./Friends School of Baltimore) off the corner kick by first-year
Keller Chamovitz (Sewickly, Pa./Quaker Valley).
Sophomore
Jaeden Asare (Letterkenny, Ireland/Perry Hall) found the back of the net at 65:42 from the left of the goal box on a pass by junior
Kenny Clapp (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) from the top of the penalty box.
Wise netted the final goal of the game at 69:42 on a penalty kick.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) made three saves before he was relieved by first-year
Eric Ball (Fairfield, Pa./Fairfield), who recorded one save. Delaware Valley goalkeeper Andrew Roberto totaled six saves.
Delaware Valley fell to 5-3 overall and 0-1 in the MAC Freedom.
The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, Oct. 5, when they host Wilkes University at 6 p.m. at UPMC Field.
