WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior
Bella Green (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) scored her third goal in two days to lead the Lycoming College women's soccer team, but a pair of Mount Aloysius College goals in the second half helped it to a 2-1 non-conference win to spoil Lycoming's home opener on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 5, at UPMC field.

The Warriors (1-1 overall) struck near the end of the first half on a nice pass into the box by senior
Jayden Leighow (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville Area) to Green, who buried the shot into the left corner.
Â
Mount Aloysius (1-1 overall) tied the game when Kourtney Walls scored off a rebound in the 49
th minute and scored the game-winner in the 88
th minute off a breakaway goal from Katie Figinski. Johnna Adams assisted both plays.
Â
The Warriors were awarded a free kick in the final seconds, but the final shot rolled into the arms of Mount Aloysius keeper Lauren Davey for the last of her eight saves.
Â
Freshman
Abbey Gerasimoff (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) made two saves for the Warriors.
Â
The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, Sept. 8, against Goucher College in Baltimore at 7 p.m.
