GRANTHAM, Pa.- Sophomore goalkeeper
Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) made his first collegiate start for the Lycoming College men's soccer team, making nine saves, but Lycoming fell 3-0 to ninth-ranked Messiah University on Wednesday night, Sept. 29, at Shoemaker Field.

The Warriors (4-3-2 overall) had two shots on goal and four in the game.

Wilke's biggest save of the night came with a minute left in the first half, he dove across the goal, making two steps and a leap to get his hand on a shot at the far left post.

Luke Groothoff led the Falcons (6-0-2 overall) with two goals and an assist and Matt McDonald had one. Jared Pavlovich made two saves to earn the shutout.

The Warriors return to play on Saturday, Oct. 2, as they host Arcadia University at 4 p.m. at UPMC Field in their first MAC Freedom match of the season.
